Many media reports in Hong Kong reported that Li Shaoguang, former director of the Hong Kong Security Bureau, died in the dream of sleeping in the apartment at the age of 73.

Ye Liu Shuyi, the convener of the Hong Kong Executive Council who had worked with Li Shaoguang, confirmed the news.Ye Liu Shuyi said that when he served as the director of the Hong Kong Immigration Department in 1996, Li Shaoguang was the deputy director. The two handled a lot of tricks together.

Li Shaoguang joined the Hong Kong People's Entry Affairs Office in 1974 and became the director of the people's entry affairs.Subsequently, he was appointed as the assistant director of the Immigration Department in 1995, appointed as the Deputy Director in 1997, and appointed as the Director of the Immigration Department in October the following year.

Li Shaoguang was appointed by the then Chief Executive of Hong Kong in July 2002 as a specialist of the integrity, becoming the first integrity commissioner to be born by disciplinary forces.In August 2003, Li Shaoguang replaced Ye Liu Shuyi, who resigned as the director of the Security Bureau.

Li Shaoguang has served in the government for 38 years and retired in 2012.
